Little girl caught in rice cutting machine while catching mice for a living, her family situation is very pitiful

According to Mr. Le Tan Loi - Party Cell Secretary, Head of Ta Em Hamlet, Vinh Dieu Commune, Giang Thanh District, Bui Thi Tuong Vy (born 2010), her mother left when she was just 14 months old. Her father worked as a local hired hand to make a living, but his job was unstable and his income was uncertain.

Neighbors said Tuong Vy was very obedient and studied hard. During summer vacation, Tuong Vy often went fishing, catching crabs, digging for snails, picking vegetables... to help her family. Tuong Vy's family has 6 people, her grandparents, her father and 2 children.

“Recently, Vy went to catch rats to make a living, unfortunately she got caught in a rice-cutting machine, her scalp was peeled off... Currently, her family cannot afford to take care of her. The locality is calling on benefactors near and far to help her and her family overcome difficulties,” Mr. Le Tan Loi informed.

Mr. Bui Van Tan (Tuong Vy's grandfather) said that his daughter had an accident at around 11am on July 4 near HT1 Canal, Vinh Dieu Commune, Giang Thanh District. Afterwards, the girl was taken by locals to Vinh Dieu Commune Medical Station for first aid.

But due to the large wound, the scalp was lost so he was transferred to Giang Thanh District Medical Center and then transferred directly to Kien Giang General Hospital for emergency treatment. "At 2am this morning, my grandson was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital ( Ho Chi Minh City) and is currently preparing to be transferred to Children's Hospital 1 for surgery," said Mr. Tan.

Mr. Le Tan Loi said, “By 1:30 p.m. on July 5, the Party Cell and the Ta Em Hamlet Leadership Board had mobilized and handed over 20 million VND from benefactors to the family to help Tuong Vy. In the coming time, the locality will continue to mobilize and receive support to help the family overcome difficulties.”

Bui Thi Tuong Vy is currently hospitalized at Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.

Tuong Vy's treatment time ahead is still full of hardships and she really needs the community's help.
