DTO - Baby Nguyen Van Linh (born 2012), currently residing at 157 Hoa Binh Street, Phuoc Xuyen, Hamlet 3, Hoa Binh Commune, Tam Nong District, is suffering from a serious illness and is in dire need of help from benefactors.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bon (born in 1969) - Linh's mother said that Linh suffered from many serious illnesses. The family took her to Tan Hung District Medical Center ( Long An province) and Tam Nong District Medical Center, then transferred her to Dong Thap General Hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors at the hospital diagnosed that Linh had congenital Down syndrome, mental retardation, and mitral valve regurgitation, acute respiratory failure, heart failure, acute myocarditis, pneumonia... requiring long-term treatment, otherwise it would affect her life. After a period of treatment, the cost was expensive, the disease tended to improve, but the family ran out of money for treatment and had to take Linh home to recuperate. Up to now, the after-effects of the disease have left Linh paralyzed in all four limbs, unable to walk; eating and daily activities require the help of her parents.
Mr. Nguyen Van Trung - Vice Chairman of Hoa Binh Commune People's Committee said that Mrs. Bon's family situation is very difficult. The local government has just considered giving her family a "Red Cross" house with 50 million VND support from Dong Thap Lottery Company Limited. Mrs. Bon's family has been granted a near-poor household certificate by the local government. We hope that benefactors will help Linh continue her treatment and overcome her serious illness.
