The Congress discussed and approved the Political Report, the Review Report of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Report synthesizing comments on the draft documents submitted to the 8th National Congress of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association and the Report synthesizing comments on the supplementary and revised Charter of the Vietnam Farmers' Association .
The Congress comprehensively assessed the results achieved, pointed out the limitations, shortcomings and causes. At the same time, it drew 5 major and profound lessons, which are practical in the process of organizing and implementing the Resolution of the 9th Provincial Farmers' Association Congress. On that basis, the Congress determined the direction, goals, tasks and solutions for the next 5-year development period.
In particular, 15 specific targets and 6 groups of tasks and solutions in the work of building a strong Association; building Nghe An farmers to develop comprehensively; promoting the role of farmers in agricultural development, rural economy , and new rural construction; promoting service activities and supporting farmers; actively participating in Party and government building; participating in ensuring national defense, security, international cooperation and people's diplomacy.
This is the crystallization of intelligence, will, aspirations, desires and determination to innovate and create comprehensively in all aspects of association activities and farmers' movements of cadres and members of farmers' associations in the province.
With the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and democracy, the Congress wisely selected and elected the Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association for the 10th term, 2023-2028, consisting of 40 comrades representing the political qualities, will, aspirations and intelligence of cadres and farmer members in the province.
In the first meeting, the new Executive Committee elected the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association consisting of 11 comrades. The positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Inspection Committee and Head of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association were elected. Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term IX, was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term X.
The Congress also elected 25 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Farmers' Union. The results of the election sessions at the Congress all achieved a high number of votes, once again affirming the high solidarity and unanimity among cadres and farmer members of the province.
In his closing speech at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association affirmed: The 10th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association was a great success. This is a great encouragement for cadres, members and farmers of the province.
The results of the Congress clearly demonstrated the strong will, determination and aspiration to rise up of all levels of the Farmers' Association and cadres and members of Nghe An farmers in the period of promoting industrialization, modernization of agriculture, rural areas and international integration.
The success of the Congress is first of all thanks to the dedicated direction and guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; the close and comprehensive leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee; the facilitation and support of departments, branches, sectors, unions, agencies and units located in the province; and the result of the active and thoughtful preparation process from the Congresses of the Farmers' Union at the grassroots and district levels with the contributions of efforts and intelligence of cadres and members of the Farmers' Union at all levels, the advisory and supporting departments and offices of the Provincial Farmers' Union, and former leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Union through the periods.
“ I propose that immediately after the Congress, all levels of the Farmers' Association must organize and disseminate the spirit and content of the Resolution to every cadre and farmer member in the whole province. At the same time, I call on all cadres, farmer members and all levels of the Farmers' Association to continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, unanimity, overcome difficulties, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, proactiveness and creativity in organizing the Association's activities and the farmers' movement; promote collective intelligence, research good solutions and creative ways to successfully implement the Resolution of the 10th Congress" - the Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association expressed.
The Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association expressed his hope that, with their roles and responsibilities, all levels of the Association in the province would strive to unite and create new energy in innovating leadership, direction and organization methods for farmers' movements; as well as doing a good job of advising the Party Committee, coordinating with the government to solve the problems arising in the practical life and production of farmers; so that Nghe An farmers can feel secure in their homeland and fields, have high incomes and a good life from their farming profession.
With the motto of action in the coming term being “Solidarity - Creativity - Cooperation - Development”, we believe that, with the heroic and revolutionary tradition and valuable lessons learned in the terms; along with the development and progress of society; the peasant class of the province and the Farmers' Association at all levels will take advantage of opportunities and advantages, together overcome difficulties and challenges to achieve and exceed the goals and targets set by the Congress Resolution.
