The Congress and Competition are part of a series of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection. The event will take place from August 2024 to August 2025 in 5 localities.
In the first phase of 2024, more than 15,000 officers and soldiers from 126 delegations of the Public Security of units and localities participated, competing in 13 events with 133 contents. In the second phase, the Congress had the participation of 70 delegations, with more than 2,000 athletes; The final round of the Competition had 26 teams, with more than 2,200 officers and soldiers participating. The number of officers, soldiers and workers at the Public Security of units and localities participating in this Congress and Competition increased by 20% compared to previous periods.
In the final results, at the Congress program, the Organizing Committee awarded 169 sets of medals in 10 subjects in 2 stages.
The 10 leading units of the Congress include: Ho Chi Minh City Police, Hanoi City Police, Mobile Police Command, Dak Lak Provincial Police, Ninh Binh Provincial Police, Lam Dong Provincial Police, Bac Ninh Provincial Police, Hue City Police, An Giang Provincial Police, Da Nang City Police.
At the Contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 195 prizes to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Commenting on the Congress and Competition, Major General Pham Kim Dinh, Director of the Department of Political Work, affirmed: This Health Congress and Competition brought fierce competitions, impressive performances and many outstanding achievements; athletes overcame their own limits, set new records, brought pride to the unit, contributing to affirming the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland" of the People's Public Security Forces.
The military and martial arts contents of the teams demonstrated discipline, eliteness, bravery, and skillful techniques, clearly demonstrating the training level, training and combat readiness of the People's Public Security Forces.
