Closing ceremony of Dien Bien Family Pickleball Tournament 2025

VHO - On June 22, at the Dien Bien Provincial Stadium training ground, the final matches and closing ceremony of the 1st Dien Bien Provincial Family Pickleball Tournament 2025 took place.

Awarding prizes to outstanding athlete pairs in the father-son doubles event

The first Dien Bien Province Family Pickleball Tournament in 2025 is a practical activity in response to Vietnamese Family Day on June 28, celebrating the 116th anniversary of the founding of Dien Bien Province and welcoming Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The tournament had nearly 200 athletes from 27 agencies and units in the province. The athletes competed in 9 events, divided into age groups including married couples, father-child pairs and mother-child pairs.

According to the Organizing Committee, the tournament took place as planned with high professional quality. This shows that the movement of practicing pickleball among the people in general and each family in particular is developing widely.

The participating delegations all made great efforts and prepared carefully, and the athletes’ families competed with determination to achieve high results. Many matches were intense and dramatic, with many beautiful and exciting moves that left a deep impression on the audience who came to watch and cheer.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Doan Van Chi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien emphasized that this was the first time the Family Pickleball Tournament was held in Dien Bien, the success exceeded expectations, contributing to connecting family members, being a useful playground for families to love and be closer to each other. This will be an important premise to make the tournament a tradition, periodically held in the following years in Dien Bien.

At the end, the Organizing Committee awarded Cups and Gold Medals to the First Prize winning couples, Silver Medals to the Second Prize winning couples and Bronze Medals to the Third Prize winning couples.
