8 year old boy got fish hook stuck in his eyelid while fishing

Doctors at Hai Phong Children's Hospital promptly intervened and treated an 8-year-old boy who had a fishing hook stuck in his eyelid while fishing.

Hai Phong Children's Hospital said on February 6 that it had just intervened and promptly treated an 8-year-old child with a fishing hook stuck in his eyelid.

Previously, at about 4:25 p.m. on January 4, the maxillofacial and ophthalmological department of Hai Phong Children's Hospital received a case of a fish hook stuck in the left eyelid while fishing.

After examination, the ophthalmologist determined that this was a rather complicated case of foreign body, the hook was at risk of piercing the eyeball if not treated and removed promptly.

The ophthalmologists and team quickly performed anesthesia to safely remove the foreign object from the patient's eyelid without causing damage to other areas of the eyeball.

After intervention and treatment at the maxillofacial - ophthalmology department (Hai Phong Children's Hospital), the patient's left eyelid was stable and he was discharged from the hospital.
