Reading the opening speech, comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, reviewed the heroic historical tradition of the Party Committee, army and people of Ben Tre province.
After 50 years since liberation, from a land that suffered much pain from war, Ben Tre province has gradually risen strongly and achieved many important achievements in all fields.

In particular, in 2024, implementing the "New Dong Khoi" emulation peak, Ben Tre province mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system and people, achieving many outstanding results compared to the resolution, with many impressive figures.
For the first time, Ben Tre achieved an import-export turnover of over 2.2 billion USD, of which exports reached 1.75 billion USD, of which coconut exports alone reached 0.52 billion USD. State budget revenue in the area reached 6,632.9 billion VND...
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, acknowledged and highly appreciated the continuous efforts in leadership, management, implementation and organization of the tasks of political stability, maintaining security and order, socio -economic development, and caring for the material and spiritual life of the people of the Party Committee and government of Ben Tre province.
These results demonstrate determination and synchronization in leadership, solidarity, consensus and unanimity in organization and implementation, which are important foundations for sustainable development in the future.
On the basis of promoting the revolutionary tradition and the spirit of the old Dong Khoi, continuing to spread and well implement the emulation movement "New Dong Khoi", determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the province should focus on implementing the instructions of the General Secretary at the National Conference to disseminate and implement the Resolution of the 11th Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee.
In particular, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized the need to determine the highest political determination in leading and directing the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Central Conference. This is a "revolution" in arranging the organizational apparatus, arranging administrative units and reforming and innovating to develop the country; unifying in awareness and ideology; having to surpass oneself, sacrificing personal interests for the common interests of the country.

At the same time, Ben Tre province needs to focus on leading and directing the organization of the Congress to ensure it is tight and methodical in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Politburo, especially since we will soon merge provincial administrative units to create new space and conditions for development.
It is necessary to attach more importance and focus on the preparation of documents. Focus on leading and organizing thorough, profound and effective discussions on the draft documents of the 14th Party Congress; urgently develop and complete the draft documents of one's own level, with new thinking, outlining the development path of the newly established province, communes and wards based on new space, land and resources.
"This is a very important job that requires intellectual investment, effort and close coordination among localities to do this job well," emphasized comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia.
In addition, the province needs to promote its strengths and strategic position, effectively implement regional linkages according to Resolution No. 13-NQ/TW of the 13th Politburo; focus on effectively implementing the Ben Tre Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, in conjunction with implementing the Project on provincial mergers, not organizing district levels, merging commune levels and building a 2-level local government organization model in the spirit of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.
Continue to promote the spirit of Dong Khoi in 1960 in the emulation movement "New Dong Khoi", the peak of the emulation movement "New Dong Khoi" in the two years 2024-2025, achieving and exceeding the set targets.

Ben Tre province needs to continue to synchronously and effectively implement the major policies of the Party and State on policies for people with meritorious services, sustainable poverty reduction, new rural and civilized urban construction. In particular, the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses needs to be promoted with the highest political determination, deeply demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude" and strongly spreading the spirit of solidarity and humanity in the community.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia believes that, with the tradition of the heroic Dong Khoi homeland, with solidarity, unanimity, the spirit of innovation and the strong aspiration to rise up, the Party Committee, government and people of Ben Tre province will continue to reap even greater achievements in the cause of developing the homeland, contributing worthily to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
On this occasion, Ben Tre province organized the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Award ceremony for 19 outstanding individuals in the fields of medicine, literature and arts, education and training.
On the same morning, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Dang Thi Manh, a 3/4 war invalid, imprisoned by the enemy, a resistance activist infected with toxic chemicals, currently residing in Binh Khoi Quarter, Ward 6, Ben Tre City.
