Doctors examine and encourage patients
City International Hospital (CIH) said it had just saved the life of patient Zhong Huai Rong (55 years old, Chinese nationality) who had a stroke.
The patient was brought to CIH in a state of suspected stroke, with a history of hypertension for many years, unable to stand up and walk on his own. Immediately, the medical team activated the emergency stroke procedure.
After key interventions during the golden hour, the patient is transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for monitoring.
In-depth evaluation results determined that the patient had acute right medullary and pontine infarction, complete occlusion of the right vertebral artery due to atherosclerotic thrombosis, and stenosis of the basilar artery.
This is a particularly important area of the nervous system, controlling many vital functions such as breathing, swallowing and movement. Strokes in this location have a high risk of death.

Letter from patient thanking CIH medical team
After treatment with precise steps, the patient recovered and was able to walk.
Leaving a thank you note on the day of discharge, the patient shared: "When I was rushed to the hospital, I had no family, no insurance, no money or time and had to be treated immediately. Then I had surgery."
Mr. Zhong Huai Rong also expressed his deep gratitude to the doctors and nurses for their dedicated, thoughtful, responsible and professional care throughout the treatment process.
