According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, in the context that the healthcare system is entering a period of strong transformation and implementing Resolution 03/NQ-CP in 2025 of the Government on promulgating the action program of Resolution 57/NQ-TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, the healthcare sector in general and training and practice facilities in particular need to make comprehensive efforts to innovate to meet the requirements of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

Regarding the preparation of human resources to operate Bach Mai Hospital 2 (in Ninh Binh province), Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co said that with a scale of 1,000 beds, the second facility will need about 1,200 staff, including about 300 doctors. To date, the hospital has recruited more than 100 doctors, including about 100 residents, and this team is continuing to be trained.
Bach Mai Hospital also considers each department and room at facility 2 as an extension of facility 1 and the leaders of the departments and clinical units at facility 1 will also be the heads and in charge of departments and units at facility 2.
When put into operation, Bach Mai Hospital will rotate experienced professors and doctors from facility 1 to facility 2, ensuring the quality of both facilities is the same. Thus, people in neighboring areas do not have to travel to Hanoi city to still receive high-quality medical examination and treatment.
