Binh Thanh Hospital responds to 7 years of blood sugar control campaign

(Dan Tri) - Binh Thanh Hospital organized a scientific seminar, responding to the 7-year HbA1c below 7% campaign with the theme "High blood sugar, many complications", updating knowledge related to diabetes, how to control and prevent complications of the disease.

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder with complex developments. In the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of type 2 diabetes of the Ministry of Health, it is mentioned that poor control of diabetes causing chronic hyperglycemia over a long period of time will cause metabolic disorders of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, causing damage to many different organs, especially the heart and blood vessels, kidneys, eyes, and nerves.
