Realizing that his hometown is suitable for farm economic development, especially breeding rabbits, in 2023, he cooperated with a number of rabbit-raising households in Trieu Son district to invest in building a New Zealand rabbit farm. He boldly borrowed capital from the district's Social Policy Bank Branch, along with the accumulated money and loans from brothers, friends and relatives to invest in building a 300m2 rabbit farm, with 460 cages; bought 460 breeding rabbits to raise. To gain knowledge, he took the trouble to visit effective breeding rabbit models in and outside the district, at the same time referring to techniques through books, newspapers and participating in training courses on transferring scientific and technical advances in cultivation and breeding organized by the district and commune.

Mr. Le Van Hiep shared: Rabbits are pets with poor body resistance, so when the weather changes, rabbits are susceptible to disease. Therefore, in the care process, it is required that the breeder always keep the cage floor dry, airy, ensure hygiene, adjust the temperature to be cool in the summer, warm in the winter. In addition, it is necessary to spray disinfectant periodically, regularly vaccinate to prevent diseases. Food and water must also be clean so that rabbits grow quickly and are less likely to get sick. Rabbits over 1 year old start to reproduce, the gestation period is about 30 days, each time the mother rabbit can give birth to 6 - 8 babies. After just over 1 month, the breeding rabbits can be sold. Currently, the family farm always has nearly 500 parent rabbits, on average selling nearly 1,000 breeding rabbits each month, with the selling price at the farm of 100,000 VND/pair. After deducting expenses, his family earns a profit of 120 to 150 million VND each year.
