Dak Lak Party Secretary urges acceleration of high-speed railway project implementation.

To meet the implementation schedule of the North-South high-speed railway project, the Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, requested the urgent construction of resettlement areas and land clearance.

The Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, recently chaired a meeting with the Steering Committee for land clearance of the North-South high-speed railway project section passing through the province.

According to the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Construction, the high-speed railway project section passing through the province has a length of approximately 98.68 km, traversing 13 communes and wards; the total land requirement for the project section through the province is approximately 807.5 hectares.

The total estimated cost for compensation and land clearance for the high-speed railway project through Dak Lak province is approximately 12,245 billion VND. The Ministry of Construction has proposed allocating approximately 4,000 billion VND in capital for the locality to implement the project in 2026.

The Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, during a site inspection of the high-speed railway project passing through the province.

According to statistics, it is estimated that approximately 5,589 houses and land plots, along with 6 organizations, will be directly affected by the project; the number of households requiring resettlement is approximately 3,025.

To prepare for land clearance, Dak Lak province has agreed to select 18 land areas for the construction of resettlement areas, with an area of ​​131.72 hectares, and 5 reburial areas, with an area of ​​9 hectares.

Dak Lak province has assigned specific tasks to three units to act as the project owners for compensation, support, and resettlement: the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the Eastern region of the province, the Tuy An Investment and Construction Project Management Board, and the Tuy Hoa Investment and Construction Project Management Board.

The investors will proceed with the procedures to begin construction of resettlement areas and mass burial sites, aiming for simultaneous completion by December 2026.

The Department of Construction of Dak Lak province has also proactively proposed 11 land leveling quarry sites with a total area of ​​over 331 hectares, in order to ensure the needs for land leveling are met.

Regarding construction materials, the Department of Construction has reviewed and proposed 5 landfill sites, 2 construction sand sites, and 20 waste disposal sites. Specifically, in the area surrounding Tuy Hoa station, 11 landfill sites have been proposed, of which 5 have been licensed for exploitation with reserves of approximately 9.7 million m³.

The total estimated cost for compensation and land clearance for the high-speed railway project through Dak Lak province is approximately 12,245 billion VND.

To prepare the conditions for the deployment of the high-speed railway, the Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee requested the Steering Committee to review and finalize the working regulations and assign specific tasks to each member.

Simultaneously, a detailed work plan should be developed, clearly defining tasks, timelines, and responsibilities to ensure the systematic and effective implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement. Relevant units need to carefully review actual needs, only implementing items with clearly defined routes, avoiding scattered investments and resulting waste in resettlement arrangements and land clearance.

Regarding resettlement and reburial areas, Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet requested that the planning be completed by June 2026 and that procedures related to investment, environment, and land be urgently finalized to allow for early construction.
