Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee visits and works in Guangdong province (China)

At the meeting, Comrade Dinh Tien Dung expressed his joy at visiting China again and visiting Guangdong province, witnessing many great changes and important new achievements of the Chinese people; believing that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core, the Communist Party of China, the Government and the people of China will certainly continue to expand and enrich China's modernization path, complete on time the goals and tasks set by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, successfully realize the second 100-year goal, and build China into a modern socialist power that is prosperous, strong, civilized, harmonious and beautiful.

Comrade Dinh Tien Dung also reviewed the history of the friendship between the two Parties and the two countries; expressed gratitude for the great and valuable support that the Party, State and people of China have given to Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and the current cause of building socialism. The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed that under the guidance of the two highest leaders of the two Parties over the past 10 years, the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries has made progress and achieved many positive results, bringing benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Comrade Dinh Tien Dung emphasized that the delegation's visit to China this time aims to continue to concretize and implement the common perception between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries during the historic visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China in late October 2022, contributing to maintaining high-level exchanges and contacts and strengthening friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between localities of the two countries, including Guangdong province and Hanoi city. The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and supports comprehensive and substantive cooperation with Guangdong.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung also proposed a number of recommendations including: Promoting the mechanism for periodic review of the cooperation situation between Vietnam and Guangdong, promoting exchanges of delegations at all levels between Guangdong province and Vietnamese localities in various forms, enhancing the exchange of experiences in Party building and socio-economic development; requesting Guangdong leaders to support and create favorable conditions to strengthen the friendly relations between Hanoi city and Guangdong province and Guangzhou city.

Strengthening substantive cooperation in all fields, including traditional and new cooperation fields, exploiting the potential and strengths of each side, hoping that Guangdong will continue to open its doors further for Vietnamese agricultural, aquatic, seafood and fruit products to participate more deeply in the global supply chain of Guangdong enterprises... At the same time, strengthening people-to-people exchanges between Guangdong and localities of Vietnam, including Hanoi, contributing to creating a sustainable foundation for the development of bilateral relations.

Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Hoang Khon Minh highly appreciated the visit of Comrade Dinh Tien Dung and the high-ranking delegation of Hanoi City as well as the opinions of the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee on cooperation and exchange between Hanoi City and Guangzhou City and Guangdong Province, emphasizing that relevant agencies of the two sides will coordinate to promote cooperation.

Comrade Hoang Khong Minh said that in terms of city management, Guangzhou also needs to learn from Hanoi's experience in many areas, such as construction management and traffic management. Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province also has many things to learn from Hanoi City and the two sides should learn from each other's experiences.

Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Huang Kunming also agreed that both sides should properly implement the important guidelines of the two Party General Secretaries on promoting practical cooperation in various fields; emphasizing that the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries is very good, both comrades and brothers. Both countries are led by the Communist Party, following the correct path of socialism. China is currently continuing to promote the new period of opening up, Vietnam continues to promote the way of opening up, has a lot of experience in governing the country, so the two sides can learn from each other.

* Also on the afternoon of September 25, comrade Dinh Tien Dung and the high-ranking delegation of Hanoi city attended the Closing Ceremony of the Training Course for Source Planning Cadres of the Hanoi Party Committee in Guangzhou.

The training course for cadres planning the source of the Hanoi City Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term at South China University of Technology was held from September 19-26, 2023. The class was attended by 20 students who are key cadres of the city's departments, branches, and districts, towns, and cities planned for the City Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Secretary General of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee Bian Liming affirmed that the training course is a practical cooperation activity within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening friendly relations between Hanoi and Guangzhou. Guangzhou, as the cradle of China's democratic revolution and the vanguard of China's reform and opening-up, attaches great importance to this precious opportunity to share and exchange directly with Hanoi through this course.

On behalf of the delegation, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung sent his sincere thanks to the Guangzhou City Party Committee, the Guangzhou City Government, the South China Polytechnic University, the relevant agencies and the scientists and lecturers of the class. He highly appreciated the efforts of the Guangzhou City Party Committee, the South China Polytechnic University and the Hanoi Party Committee Organizing Committee for their effective coordination in the spirit of comradeship and brotherhood to successfully organize the class.

Comrade Dinh Tien Dung suggested that after this course, the trainees will actively and creatively apply the knowledge they have gained to their practical work, continue to strive and train to better complete their assigned tasks, worthy of the trust and attention of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, and the support and assistance of the Guangzhou Party Committee.

Comrade Dinh Tien Dung hopes that this training course will open the door and a good future for cooperation between Hanoi and Guangzhou in the training of cadres. He assigned the Hanoi Party Committee's Organizing Committee to continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies of Guangzhou to research and cooperate in organizing more cadre training courses to share effective experiences in local construction and development, thereby contributing to realizing and deepening and enriching the content of friendly cooperation between Hanoi and Guangzhou.
