Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau received and worked with the delegation of the Korean Ambassador to Vietnam

On March 26, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam Choi Youngsam and his delegation visited and learned about the reality in the province.

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Bui Minh Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Phan Trong Tan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches and units.

Expressing his pleasure at receiving the delegation of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau affirmed: Over the past time, the bilateral cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea has been continuously promoted, developed and upgraded to a "comprehensive strategic partnership". Phu Tho province considers this as the basis and premise to promote comprehensive cooperation in all fields with Korean partners. Therefore, the province always pays attention and creates maximum conditions for Korean enterprises in the province. He hopes that the Embassy will become a bridge to support the province in introducing and inviting Korean enterprises to invest in fields with new technology projects, high technology, clean technology, modern management, high added value, spillover effects, connecting global production and supply chains. At the same time, support enterprises of the province to seek business cooperation and investment opportunities in fields where both sides have strengths and interests.

In recent years, investment projects of Korean enterprises have increased in number, investment capital and production scale. By the end of 2023, Korea had about 130 enterprises, accounting for nearly 70% of the total number of FDI enterprises in the province. Korean enterprises have made significant contributions to the socio -economic development of the province, creating jobs for thousands of workers in the province.

In addition, there are currently more than 12,000 workers from Phu Tho province living and working in Korea. The export of labor to Korea has helped create jobs, increase income, improve the lives of workers, and contribute to tightening the Vietnam - Korea relationship.

At the meeting, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Youngsam thanked Phu Tho province for its warm welcome to the delegation and expressed his impression of the province's comprehensive breakthroughs in all fields, especially transport infrastructure and attractive investment attraction policies. This is the basis for Korean enterprises to feel secure in long-term investment in the province. The Ambassador affirmed that he will increase information and promote comprehensive investment cooperation in all fields between the two sides; at the same time, he hoped that the province would continue to pay attention and support Korean enterprises to resolve difficulties and problems related to taxes and customs clearance. In addition, the Ambassador also shared more about a number of areas that the Korean Government is prioritizing cooperation with the Vietnamese Government, such as issues of start-up cooperation, cooperation to expand ODA projects for Vietnam, Korean non-governmental projects, etc.
