GEFE 2023 builds on the success of GEFE 2022. It will include dialogues on sustainable development, high-level plenary sessions and symposiums, bringing together industry leaders, policy makers and sustainability policy advocates from Europe and Vietnam.
On September 28, at the press conference on GEFE 2023, Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam Julien Guerrier emphasized the importance of GEFE as a symbol of the continuous cooperation efforts between Europe and Vietnam. He believes that such initiatives will pave the way for a successful green transition, demonstrating the strength of cooperation between Europe and Vietnam.
Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands to Vietnam Christoph Prommersberger highlighted the key role of the business community in the green transition, especially when it comes to implementing new EU regulations, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
“Taking these factors into account, GEFE 2023 will provide Vietnam and its businesses with the necessary resources to meet and adapt to evolving global standards,” said Deputy Ambassador Christoph Prommersberger.
Also at the press conference, EuroCham Vice President Dominik Meichle shared that the European Group and EuroCham will always strive to share the vision and work together towards a sustainable future, promoting coordination between individuals and businesses in Europe and Vietnam.
GEFE 2023 will feature key content groups, including: Practical knowledge sharing: Explore case studies from sustainability pioneers, delve into successes, challenges and innovative solutions, benefiting from insights from over 30 industry experts.
The high-level plenary session of the forum is expected to have important delegates such as Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh , Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Danish Minister of Energy Dan Jannik Jørgensen.
The forum also provides an opportunity to connect businesses, industry leaders and experts in the field of green innovation. The event also includes an in-depth conference with thematic sessions on important topics such as renewable energy, green finance, carbon emission reduction and sustainable agriculture.
