DNVN - When officially put into operation, the Phu Phong downstream hydropower plant (Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province) will contribute electricity to socio -economic development and budget revenue for the locality.
Binh Dinh Electricity Company said that the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) has just issued a document agreeing to put into commercial operation the Phu Phong downstream hydropower plant project with a capacity of 2.9 MW.
Phu Phong Hydroelectric Plant on the Kon River.
The project is located in Phu Phong town, Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province, invested by Phu Phong Hydropower Company Limited. The expected electricity output is about 14.30 million kWh/year, with a total investment of more than 143 billion VND.
Phu Phong Hydropower Plant is located downstream of Phu Phong Dam, built in conjunction with Phu Phong Dam project, part of the cascade exploitation scheme on the Kon River, operating according to the inter-reservoir method.
The main task of the project is to generate electricity to the national grid according to the flow through Phu Phong dam to the downstream of Kon River. The plant has 2 generators with a total capacity of 2.9MW, connected to the national grid via the 22kV line at the 472/ETSO feeder of Tay Son 110kV transformer station, with a length of 2.969km.
When officially put into operation, the Phu Phong downstream hydropower plant project will contribute electricity to socio-economic development, budget revenue for Binh Dinh province and actively contribute to Tay Son district achieving socio-economic development targets for the period 2025 - 2030.
