In particular, the survey trips in late July by Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Standing Deputy Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hoai Anh, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi to the former coastal area of Binh Thuan province showed a new momentum and a new, decisive approach to resolving and unblocking development bottlenecks that have been "stuck" for many years.
It is no coincidence that public opinion pays special attention to the coastal area of Lam Dong, because this place is considered a strategic "gateway" for the new Lam Dong to reach out to the sea. With geographical advantages, increasingly complete infrastructure, after the two key highways Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay come into operation, along with rich resources such as: minerals, forests, wind, sunshine, seaports and sea tourism... the old Binh Thuan area is an important "piece" in the strategy of developing a sustainable marine economy and green tourism for the new Lam Dong.
However, that great potential has been held back by a series of obstacles, the most prominent of which are overlapping planning, especially the national titanium mineral reserve planning, causing dozens of off-budget projects to be "frozen", wasting resources and development opportunities, despite the efforts of provincial leaders in previous periods of the old Binh Thuan to resolve them.
It is a painful reality that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi and the entire leadership of the Provincial People's Committee frankly acknowledged and shared with the press at a press conference on the afternoon of August 1st, when reporters raised this "bottleneck" issue. Instead of avoiding it, the provincial leaders listened, acknowledged, and simultaneously provided directions to resolve the issue with the utmost determination and responsibility. In particular, Chairman Ho Van Muoi emphasized that the implementation of the newly issued Resolution 68 is considered the "key" to resolving unfinished projects – along with the strong directives of the Prime Minister on handling legal obstacles nationwide, this is a "golden" opportunity for coastal Lam Dong to make a breakthrough. In particular, the smooth coordination between the Central and local governments in reviewing the entire planning, especially the "immobile" areas due to titanium, will be a prerequisite for investors to feel secure to return, for the government to boldly open the way and for people to benefit from sustainable development.
Remember in the previous working session with the leaders of the 3 provinces, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: The merger of 3 provinces is not just a mechanical accumulation, but must create a resonance value "equal to 5, equal to 6". If the old Binh Thuan area is considered the door to the sea, then the new Lam Dong is the boat that is opening its sails to reach the ocean, with faith, innovation and real action from the new "helmsmen"!
Hopefully, with the new policies and recent field surveys to address the "bottlenecks," as well as the long-term development strategies outlined by the provincial leadership, "Lam Dong - the blue sea" will develop in proportion to its potential and advantages, contributing together with Dak Nong and the old Lam Dong to help the new Lam Dong reach out to the open sea.
