Attending the meeting were Major General Le Van Long, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; Major General Nguyen Nam Tien, Political Commissar of the Military Region; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and leaders of the City Military Command.

At the meeting, in a joyful and excited atmosphere, the delegates together reviewed the heroic traditions of the Military Region 3 in general and the Hai Phong City Military in particular.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Bui Xuan Thang, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Commander of the City Military Command, expressed his gratitude to generations of leaders and commanders who have worked and contributed to the growth and development of the Hai Phong City Military Command. At the same time, he affirmed that generations of leaders and commanders of the City Military Command always uphold the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, uphold the spirit of responsibility, set an example in work and life, and have made many important contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; building a comprehensively strong city military force that is "exemplary and typical".

On behalf of the Party Standing Committee, Colonel Bui Xuan Thang expressed his hope that comrades would continue to promote the noble qualities of revolutionary soldiers, actively educate the younger generation on traditions, participate in social movements and activities, and contribute to building Hai Phong to become increasingly green, civilized, and modern; a solid fortress in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
