Ministry of Industry and Trade launches campaign to support people affected by storms and floods in 2025

On October 17, in Tuyen Quang province, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a launching ceremony to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods in 2025. Attending the ceremony was comrade Nguyen Hong Dien, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade.

Since the beginning of the year, provinces across the country have suffered from many storms and floods, causing serious damage to people and property of the state and people. After natural disasters, people's lives have been extremely difficult, and the cooperation and contribution of the whole society is needed.

In Tuyen Quang province, due to the impact of storm No. 10, in late September and early October, widespread floods occurred in the area, causing great damage to state and people's property.

Specifically, more than 22,600 houses were affected and damaged; more than 11,000 hectares of rice, corn, vegetables, and industrial crops were buried and collapsed; 120 schools, cultural houses, and medical stations were damaged; and hundreds of irrigation works, bridges, and roads were damaged. The total damage caused by floods and rains amounted to thousands of billions of VND.

Responding to the call of the Party, State and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of Industry and Trade mobilized all cadres, civil servants, public employees and businesses to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods.

Vietnam Electricity Group supports Tuyen Quang province with 1 billion VND to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and delegates attending the Conference of Industry and Trade of the Northern mountainous provinces donated to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods.

Also at the ceremony, enterprises and corporations, including: Vietnam Electricity Group; Vietnam Chemical Group; Vietnam Engine and Agricultural Machinery Corporation; Vietnam Paper Corporation; Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group directly supported Tuyen Quang province to overcome the consequences of floods with an amount of more than 1.3 billion VND.
