An Giang Border Guards give gifts to Khmer people in difficult circumstances

From August 20-21, Nhon Hung Border Guard Station coordinated with philanthropists in An Phu ward, Tinh Bien town, An Giang province to organize propaganda about the Vietnam Border Law 2020 and legal documents on national borders, and at the same time gave gifts to Khmer people in difficult circumstances in the area.

Propagandists of Nhon Hung Border Guard Station disseminated the basic contents and scope of regulations in the 2020 Vietnam Border Guard Law, which was approved with 6 chapters and 36 articles, effective from January 1, 2022.

The Law on Vietnam Border Guard provides full, comprehensive and specific provisions on protecting the territorial sovereignty and national borders of the Fatherland; especially clearly defining the tasks of all levels, sectors, armed forces and the entire political system in building, managing and protecting the national border, meeting the two strategic tasks of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation; building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

At the program, representatives of Nhon Hung Border Guard Station also answered people's questions related to the scope, regulations on entry and exit to border areas and regulations on administrative violations in the management and protection of national borders.

On this occasion, the unit coordinated to present 50 gifts to Khmer people in difficult circumstances (each gift included 10kg of rice, spices and 100,000 VND in cash); presented 50 gifts (notebooks, pens and cash) to poor but excellent students in An Phu ward, Tinh Bien town, An Giang province. The total value of the activities was about 30 million VND.
