Write beautiful stories with the desire to contribute

QTO - For a long time, the "October 15" award has been the dream and motivation of many young people. After many efforts, this award has just come to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of the province and Mr. Phan Tran Tuan Anh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province. Reporters (PV) of Quang Tri Newspaper, Radio and Television had a conversation with the two men to learn about their journey of dedication, enthusiasm and youthful aspirations.

Keep the flame of youth forever

- Reporter: Congratulations to the two of you who have just received the "October 15" award. How do you feel when you both receive this noble award from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union?

- Mr. Quoc Toan:   I am very touched and proud to receive the award. This is the result of the efforts of not only me but also of the whole team, the young and enthusiastic hearts. This award partly affirms that our efforts in renewing our thinking and actions in the past have brought about results.

- Mr. Tuan Anh:   I share the same feelings as Mr. Toan. Honored to receive the award, we remind ourselves to further uphold our responsibilities, constantly strive in our work, innovate our ways of working, listen more to young people… We will actively promote and help multiply the spirit of creative entrepreneurship, beautiful living, useful living… among young people.

- Reporter: Today's honor is the result of a process. Can you share about your efforts?

- Mr. Quoc Toan: I believe that the association's work must originate from the needs, aspirations, and legitimate interests of the youth. Together with the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, I have innovated the way of organizing, connecting, accompanying, aiming at the goal of implementing movements more and more effectively and practically. From practice, I have advised and implemented many new initiatives and models, bringing about clear results, which have been recognized by the Central Association.

- Mr. Tuan Anh: For me, each program, each movement is a journey of learning, growing up, and spreading love. I always try to innovate my approach to young people, grasp their thoughts and aspirations, and at the same time build many good movements such as: "Youth live beautifully, live usefully", "Youth start a business, establish a career in the homeland", "I love my Fatherland"...

- Reporter: In today's joy, would you please share about the opportunity that brought you to the association and youth movement?

- Mr. Quoc Toan: Since I was a student, I have been involved in youth union activities. The dynamism, creativity and community spirit of the youth union have ignited my passion and motivated me to stick with youth work. After being appointed as Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, I deeply realized that I need to make more efforts to pass on that passion to young people.

- Mr. Tuan Anh: For me, association work is not only a chance but also a journey of passion and responsibility. That journey started when I was a student. I often tell people: "Association work is not just a job but a part of life, a happiness". Witnessing young people grow up, commit, and be creative, I feel more motivated to overcome all difficulties and challenges. I always tell myself: "No matter how many difficulties there are, I must keep the flame of youth in my heart".

Together with young people, overcome challenges and create breakthroughs

- Reporter: After the merger, what opportunities and challenges are the association and youth movement facing, sir?

- Mr. Quoc Toan: The merger opens a new phase with many opportunities. Among them, the biggest opportunity is the stability of the organization, better operating conditions and especially the increased combined strength of the youth. Challenges include a large area, a large but scattered youth force, a small number of association officials, limited resources, etc. Current reality requires the association to quickly adapt and actively innovate its methods of operation.

- Mr. Tuan Anh: In the current context, we always remind each other to maintain the spirit of solidarity, initiative and creativity of the association's staff. We determine that we need to listen to the thoughts and aspirations, strongly arouse the desire to contribute, the pioneering spirit and dedication of Quang Tri youth in the new period to open up opportunities.

- Reporter: Initially, what breakthrough models and action programs have you built and implemented?

- Mr. Quoc Toan: We have innovated the "I love my Fatherland" movement in a more specific and vivid direction, associated with core values. Along with that, the association's staff actively implements programs to accompany young people in studying, creating, starting a business... In particular, we always pay attention to the program "Youth volunteers for the community".

- Mr. Tuan Anh: To adapt to the digital age, we focus on digital transformation in association work, building "Quang Tri Youth Digital Space". At the same time, we deploy a series of programs "Youth start-ups and careers in the homeland" and the program "Green Heart Journey - For the community" with practical activities.

- Reporter: What plans and projects do you have for the future?

- Mr. Quoc Toan: I, Mr. Tuan Anh and the association will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation. We aim to build a team of Quang Tri youth who are steadfast in character, rich in skills, and become the central force in the socio -economic development of the province.

- Mr. Tuan Anh:   We are nurturing the implementation of a number of strategic, breakthrough programs, focusing on three main directions: Developing the "Quang Tri Digital Youth Ecosystem"; promoting the youth start-up movement associated with sustainable development and spreading the culture of volunteering; building the image of Quang Tri youth as brave-humane-responsible-creative-integrated. We believe that, with the spirit of solidarity, creativity and the desire to contribute, Quang Tri youth will continue to write beautiful stories, contributing to building a strong and prosperous homeland.
