Border Guards provide relief to people in Pha Mut village isolated by floods
Due to sudden floods, Pha Mut village, Nhon Mai commune, Nghe An province suffered heavy damage with 10 Mong houses swept away and 25 other households having to be urgently evacuated.
Traffic to the village was cut off. The village is located 8 km from the center of Nhon Mai commune, but it took nearly 8 hours to walk. The flood came suddenly and almost all food and household items were swept away.
Currently, the infrastructure system is severely damaged, many households are left homeless.
To provide emergency relief to the people, the local forces of Nhon Mai Border Guard Station and local authorities crossed the forest to reach and promptly provided rice, instant noodles, dry food and medicine to help people stabilize in the short term.
In the area under the management of Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, traffic is still cut off, access to remote villages is mainly by foot, but with the determination not to let any people go hungry or cold, the unit and local authorities have deployed working groups to bring food, provisions, and medicine to support the people.
Up to now, the border guards have basically reached 21/21 villages and are urgently implementing relief activities, in the spirit of sharing food and clothing with the people.
