Since May 31, Lai Chau Provincial Border Guard has coordinated with Viettel Lai Chau to give away 25 smartphones and SIM cards to people. This is part of a plan to give away at least 200 phones and SIM cards that the two units will step up coordination to implement in the coming time.

At the propaganda session, officers of Vang Ma Chai Border Guard Station introduced and guided people to use the "Anonymous email box to report crimes and illegal immigration". People only need to use their smartphones to scan the QR code and will be directed to a simple electronic form to provide information to report, reflecting the security and order situation in the area. The special feature of this model is the anonymity and absolute confidentiality of the whistleblower's identity, without fear of personal safety risks.

Border Guard Station officers also distributed leaflets to the people to propagate the Vietnam Border Law and documents guiding its implementation; introduced to the people the "Digital Education for All" Movement, and contents on digital transformation with information compiled concisely, succinctly, and easily understood.
Major Nguyen Duy Khanh, Deputy Political Commissar of Vang Ma Chai Border Guard Station, said: “We see that bringing digital knowledge to the village must make people feel close, easy to understand, easy to remember, and easy to practice. Therefore, right from the implementation of the model "Green uniform teacher - Accelerating digital transformation", the Station has deployed a working group of 4 young, dynamic and enthusiastic cadres with the task of designing electronic documents, billboards, and legal leaflets; making videos and legal clips; managing community zalo groups and fanpages; directly instructing people on digital skills (looking up procedures, sending reports of violations, accessing public services)... with a simplified and intuitive implementation form; the implementation process must be persistent, patient, and done firmly, helping people to perceive, grasp, understand, and practice effectively".

Ms. Cheo Ta May, 35 years old, living in Nhom 2 village, Si Lo Lau commune, shared: "I am very happy to receive a smartphone from the staff and enthusiastically guide me on how to scan QR codes and look up useful information."

On the same afternoon, the delegation visited a number of families supported by the Provincial Border Guard to build new houses in the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025".

On behalf of the working delegation, Colonel Nguyen Van Hung congratulated the households on having new, spacious and solid houses, a place to live in peace, and expressed his hope that the people would continue to work hard, gradually stabilize and develop their family economy, improve their lives, and actively join the Border Guard in protecting sovereignty and border security.
