The father shouted and hugged his son who had returned after three years of studying in Germany.

At 5 am on May 17th, Le Anh Son (born in 2004, from Ninh Binh province) arrived in Hanoi from Germany after three years of studying abroad. Wanting to surprise his parents, Son and his older brother, Tuan Anh (born in 1996, a pianist), planned to keep their return home a secret.

Tuan Anh asked his father to prepare a meal to welcome his "band" home for a visit.

From Hanoi, the two traveled to Ninh Binh at just after 7 am. Upon seeing their son appear at the doorstep, Son's parents embraced their children with overwhelming emotion. The reunion moment was captured by relatives and posted on social media, quickly attracting over 1.3 million views.

Speaking to Tri Thức - Znews , Anh Sơn said he was surprised that the video received so much attention from the online community.

"I just enjoy capturing and sharing everyday moments, I didn't think the video would go viral like this. I'm also happy to receive so many well wishes from everyone," Son said.

Son went to Germany to study in 2023, majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and has since graduated. Having been away from his family for many years, the young man said that although life abroad offered opportunities to earn money, he often felt empty due to the lack of family togetherness.

According to Son, his family has always been close, loving, and supportive of each other. Therefore, after a long time away from home, the moment of reuniting with his parents moved him deeply.

Speaking about his older brother, Son said that Tuan Anh is a very emotional person who left his hometown at the age of 18 to become independent in Hanoi. Although he is the quietest person in the family, he always silently cares for and looks after the family members.

After the reunion, Son's parents had prepared a meal, thinking his older brother's friends were visiting, but they didn't expect it to be their youngest son who had returned after many years of separation.

"The whole family then ate together at the same table. That moment moved me deeply," he confided.

In the future, Son said he will try to arrange to visit his family once every 1-2 years because he plans to live abroad permanently.
