Shooting legend Pham Cao Son and his wife, former shooter Dang Thi Hang, welcome their son Pham Quang Huy back home after his successful participation in the 19th Asian Games with a prestigious gold medal.

Members of the Vietnamese shooting team arrived back at Noi Bai Airport ( Hanoi ) on the evening of October 1st, concluding a very successful trip to the 19th Asian Games with 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal.

Shooter Pham Quang Huy has become a hero for the Vietnamese shooting team and the Vietnamese sports delegation. To date, he is the only athlete to have won a gold medal at the 19th Asian Games. Deputy Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Education Le Thi Hoang Yen congratulated Quang Huy and welcomed the members of the Vietnamese shooting team back home after successfully completing their mission.

Coach Hoang Xuan Vinh directly coached Pham Quang Huy, making a significant contribution to his student's gold medal win. It's even more remarkable that the 10m air pistol event is the same event in which this former shooter won an Olympic gold medal in Brazil.

Veteran shooter Tran Quoc Cuong has also transitioned into coaching.

At the 19th Asian Games, Trinh Thu Vinh did not achieve the results she expected, but the female shooter was not too disappointed because she had competed to the best of her ability and had previously earned a ticket to the Olympics.

Before winning the gold medal at the Asian Games, Pham Quang Huy had many years of experience in shooting. From the age of one, the shooter, born in 1996, lived with his parents at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi.

The shooter from Hai Phong affirmed that his gold medal at the 19th Asian Games came from his professional training and the support he received from the coaching staff of the Vietnamese shooting team, especially coach Hoang Xuan Vinh. He also learned a great deal from his father - former shooter Pham Cao Son.

Pham Quang Huy has every right to be proud of what he has achieved at the 19th Asian Games.

With his gold medal at the 19th Asian Games, Quang Huy has already received a bonus of nearly 1 billion VND.
