The film 'Glorious Ashes' won the Golden Lotus at the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival

On the evening of November 25 at Dalat Opera House, Da Lat City ( Lam Dong ), the Organizing Committee of the 23rd Vietnam Film Festival held an awards ceremony for film genres.

Mr. Ta Quang Dong ( right cover ), Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mr. Tran Duc Quan ( left cover ), Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, presented the Golden Lotus Award to the crew of the film "Glorious Ashes".

Accordingly, the Golden Lotus award went to the feature film Glorious Ashes (produced by An Nam Films Company Limited, VIET VISION and FLEUR DE LYS). The Silver Lotus award went to three films: Mom, Butterfly Day! (produced by DZS Media Joint Stock Company); Em and Trinh (produced by Galaxy Entertainment andEducation Joint Stock Company) and Dao, Pho and Piano (produced by Feature Film Joint Stock Company I).

In addition, the film Glorious Ashes also won important awards such as: Best Director award went to Bui Thac Chuyen, Best Music award went to musician Ton That An, Best Cinematography award went to Nguyen K'Linh; Best Supporting Actor award went to Le Cong Hoang (film Glorious Ashes).

Silver Lotus Award for Feature Film Category

The best screenplay award at this year's festival goes to Luu Huynh - film Oh Mom, It's Butterfly!; Nguyen Phan Linh Dan - film Girl from the Past (produced by Mar6 Studios Company Limited).

Best Actress went to Dinh Y Nhung and Mai Cat Vi ( Mom, Buom Day! ); Best Actor went to Thai Hoa ( Mom Nhot Mot Chong - produced by Thu Trang General Entertainment Company Limited); Best Supporting Actress went to Bui Lan Huong ( Mom and Trinh ). The award for Best Sound in addition to the film Glorious Ashes was also given to Vo Hoang (film Em va Trinh ).

Best Actor Award

For the first time, the Organizing Committee awarded the Best Debut Feature Film Director award to Andy Nguyen - film Fanti (Hoan Khue Film Production Joint Stock Company).

The Jury Prize went to the film Con Nhót nhớt chồng (produced by Thu Trang General Entertainment Company Limited). The Best Cinematography Award went to the film Cô gái từ tương kỳ (produced by Mar6 Studios Company Limited). The Best Art Design Award went to Ghia Ci Fam, for the film Người phụ cuối.

Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, awarded the film Em va Trinh

On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee awarded the Majestic Highlands Award to the film Em va Trinh, the award for the film set in Da Lat.

In the documentary genre, the Golden Lotus award was given to the film Children in the Mist; the Silver Lotus award was given to the films Two Hands and the film Hanoi's Sky Forever Green (episode 2 Sky of Peace ).

The Best Director Award was given to Ha Le Diem - film Children in the Mist ; Best Screenplay Award went to Dang Thi Linh - film Two Hands ; Best Cinematography Award went to Nguyen Thien Dinh - film Hungry Sea ; Excellent sound belongs to Chu Duc Thang and Dao Thi Hang, film Steel in the Deep Sea.

Golden Lotus Award for Documentary Film Category

In the category of scientific films, the Golden Lotus award went to the film Research on the application of technology in fire fighting (produced by People's Army Cinema); the Silver Lotus award went to the film Sinking Garbage (produced by Documentary Center, Vietnam Television).

Award for science films

Outstanding Director went to Nguyen Thu - Polluted Land ; Outstanding Screenplay went to Trinh Quang Bach - Black Hole ; Outstanding Cinematography went to Vu Trong Quang, Nguyen Ngoc Son and Nguyen Bao Khanh - Survival ; Outstanding Sound went to Duong Ngoc Hoa - Stone Instrument - Ancient Treasure.

Art performance at the closing night of the Film Festival

The festival organizers added that during the 5 days of the festival, more than 10,000 audiences came to watch films at the Cinestar cinema system in Da Lat city and Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province; 1,350 audiences watched and interacted with film crews at Da Lat University, Lam Dong Ethnic Boarding School and the province's Army Academy; 8,500 audiences watched films in 30 mobile screenings in Lam Ha, Dam Rong, Duc Trong and Don Duong districts, of which 7,500 were ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands.

Dalat Exhibition - Inspiring Cinema Attracts 1,500 Tourists and Da Lat Residents to Enjoy

Within the framework of the festival, the exhibition Da Lat - Inspiring Cinema attracted 1,500 visitors and residents of Da Lat City to enjoy. The opening night of the festival had more than 5,000 spectators and more than 350 artists in attendance. 169,000 viewers watched on digital platforms.
