22 years, social policy credit in Hai Chau district helps over 12,630 poor households escape poverty

On June 24, the Board of Directors of the Hai Chau District Social Policy Bank held a conference to summarize its activities. Reporting at the conference, over the past 22 years, the Board of Directors of the Hai Chau District Social Policy Bank has performed well its functions and tasks in leading policy credit activities in the district. Social policy credit activities in the district promptly meet the borrowing needs of poor households and other policy beneficiaries. Outstanding loans have grown strongly over the years, from 35 billion VND in 2008 to 788.6 billion VND as of May 31, 2025. The policy credit activity score in the district reached 99.5 points, higher than the city average (99.2 points), the interest collection rate reached over 100%. Social policy credit in the district has helped more than 12,630 poor households, near-poor households, and households escaping poverty borrow capital to escape poverty sustainably; More than 24,350 workers received loans to support job creation; more than 6,500 households borrowed from the student program to cover their study expenses. After July 1, the network of commune transaction points will remain the same as before the administrative unit was rearranged and reorganized to continue organizing safe and effective commune transaction activities, ensuring the best service for poor households and other policy beneficiaries.

On this occasion, 5 groups and 11 individuals implementing social policy credit activities in Hai Chau district received certificates of merit from the Board of Directors of the City Social Policy Bank.
