Russian Defense Ministry announces loss figures of Ukrainian forces

In its daily briefing, the Russian Defense Ministry said that the 22nd, 41st and 115th Mechanized Brigades; 17th Tank Brigade, 82nd and 95th Air Assault Brigades; 1st National Guard Brigade and the 103rd, 112th and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades of Ukraine suffered losses near the settlements of Lyubimovka, Darino, Nikolo-Darino, Tolsty Lug, Malaya Loknya and Plekhovo.

The Sever Forces group also thwarted several attempts by Kiev forces to counterattack near the settlements of Kamyshevka and Lyubimovka, the Russian Defense Ministry added.

"Ukraine suffered losses of up to 20 soldiers killed and wounded, one armored fighting vehicle, two motor vehicles," the Russian Defense Ministry detailed in the summary.

In addition, the Ministry reported that the Sever Group of Forces prevented three Ukrainian attempts to break through the Russian border near the settlements of Veseloye and Medvezhye.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered losses of up to 20 killed and wounded, one infantry fighting vehicle, one armored personnel carrier, two armored fighting vehicles, one obstacle clearing vehicle, one armored rescue vehicle and two motor vehicles," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, Russian air and artillery strikes inflicted losses on the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 61st and 115th Mechanized Brigades; the 17th Tank Brigade; the 80th and 95th Air Assault Brigades; the 36th Marine Brigade; the 1st National Guard Brigade and the 103rd and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades of Ukraine.

The Russian military launched strikes against the concentration of Kiev forces near the settlements of Bondarevka, Guyevo, Ivashkovskiy, Kruglenkoye, Kolmkov, Lyubimovka, Leonidovo, Martynovka, Malaya Loknya, Mirny, Melovoy, Novy Put, Novoya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo, Sverdlikovo, Tolsty Lug and Cherkasskaya Konopelka.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces also carried out airstrikes against the reserves of the 21st, 22nd, 41st and 115th Mechanized Brigades; the 82nd and 92nd Air Assault Brigades; the 1st National Guard Brigade; the 1004th Security Brigade and the 103rd and 106th Territorial Defense Brigades near the settlements of Belovody, Vladimirovka, Glukhov, Zhuravka, Kondratovka, Katerinovka, Obody, Pavlovka, Rechki, Rudnevo, Sumy, Shalygino, Khoten and Fomino in Ukraine's Sumy region, bordering Russia's Kursk.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 300 servicemen and nine armored vehicles, including one infantry fighting vehicle, two armored personnel carriers, six armored fighting vehicles; six launchers and transporter-loaders for the US-made HIMARS system; one electronic warfare station; one anti-obstacle vehicle; one rescue armored vehicle and seven motor vehicles," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Russian media have also released several videos showing recent failed attacks by Kiev forces and some of their losses in the direction of Kursk.

Kiev forces launched a surprise attack from Sumy on Kursk in early August.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, since the start of the battle for Kursk, Kiev forces have lost 15,650 troops; 124 tanks; 57 infantry fighting vehicles; 95 armored personnel carriers; 786 armored fighting vehicles; 478 motor vehicles; 121 artillery pieces; 29 launchers, including eight US-made HIMARS systems and six MLRS systems; five transport-loading vehicles; 30 electronic warfare stations; seven anti-artillery radars; two airborne radars; 16 engineering vehicles, including ten anti-obstacle vehicles and one UR-77 mine-clearing vehicle.
