Specifically, on July 1, at the Kim Dong Commune Cultural House (Kim Son District, Ninh Binh Province), the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and Kim Son District to organize the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen in 2024".

Through the program, propagandists of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command gave an overview of the history of formation, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Coast Guard, and the recent situation of Vietnam's seas and islands.
At the same time, the staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission disseminated the contents of Decree No. 59 dated August 14, 2023 and Decree No. 61 dated August 16, 2023 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Grassroots Democracy; the building of village covenants and conventions of residential communities.

On this occasion, officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command also directly disseminated regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
In addition, distributing propaganda leaflets, legal handbooks and giving gifts to 10 fishermen in the Cua Day port area (Kim Dong commune, Kim Son district).
In addition, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 also presented 30 gifts to policy families and religious people in Kim Dong, Kim Trung, and Kim Hai communes (Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province).

The Coast Guard program accompanies fishermen has practical significance, and is a concrete activity to realize the cooperation minutes between the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee signed in September 2022.
It is known that from 2022 to present, the program has been organized annually with the main activities being propaganda and legal education for the people; supporting socio -economic and cultural development, and poverty reduction in coastal areas. In particular, it also supports fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea... The Command of Coast Guard Region 1 has presented more than 120 gifts to households in Ninh Binh province.
