The Ministry of Construction plans to invest thousands of billions of VND in a university.

According to Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Long, Principal of the University of Transport Technology, the school has just been approved by the Ministry of Construction to invest more than 1,000 billion VND in 2 years to build symbolic projects, including a smart traffic research center.

The above content was shared at the launching ceremony of the network of excellent and talented training centers in the field of advanced and smart transport technology and infrastructure, which the University of Transport Technology was assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to host.

Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Long said that in addition to the smart traffic research center, the more than 1,000 billion VND that the Ministry of Construction has decided to invest in the school will be used to build a 15-storey innovation building; a 9-storey specialist house and dormitory. All the works will be built at the Hanoi campus (54 Trieu Khuc Street).

The University of Transport Technology was assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to take the lead in connecting and forming a network of excellent training centers in the field of advanced smart infrastructure transport technology. The network consists of 28 units, including 12 universities, 5 research institutes, and 11 enterprises.

These are leading units in technology and engineering, units with outstanding national training and research capacity, multi-disciplinary and multi-field. Combining these units can solve major problems in the country's transportation sector.

The Ministry of Construction currently manages 8 universities, of which the University of Transport Technology is a key university.
