According to Director of the Department of Maternal and Child Health Dinh Anh Tuan, on February 21, this unit received information from the media reflecting on a medical incident involving patient QA (28 years old in Bac Giang ) when she came to the Central Maternity Hospital for examination and treatment.
The Department of Maternal and Child Health requested the hospital to check and verify information about the above medical incident and report to the Ministry of Health on February 25.
The hospital urgently reviewed the medical examination and treatment process for Ms. QA at the hospital, providing full information to patients and the media.
The Ministry of Health requires hospitals to review the issuance and implementation of professional procedures in medical examination and treatment at hospitals to promptly correct any existing problems or shortcomings, if any.
Previously, Mr. H., the husband of the pregnant woman QA (28 years old), posted the incident on social media, attracting great attention with tens of thousands of shares and comments. He expressed his anger about the medical care at the Central Maternity Hospital (Hanoi), claiming that due to the doctor's negligence, his wife was in danger and the 25-month-old premature baby did not survive.
