On May 19, the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) informed that recently, this unit received feedback about Nestlé Milo products having advertising content related to clinical trial reports of the National Institute of Nutrition.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 40 of Decree 15/2018/ND-CP detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety, the Department of Food Safety issued Official Dispatch No. 1030/ATTP-NDTT dated May 16, 2025 to the Dong Nai Department of Health requesting to check, verify information, and handle the advertising of this product according to current regulations.
At the same time, the Department issued Official Dispatch No. 1031/ATTP-NDTT dated May 16, 2025 requesting the National Institute of Nutrition to urgently inspect and review the communication and advertising content of these products to ensure compliance with the provisions of Clause 2, Article 27 of Decree 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety and implementing Directive 17/CT-TTg dated May 9, 2017 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of state management and rectifying advertising activities.
Recently, there has been a lot of information from public opinion about the packaging of Nestlé Milo barley milk product with the advertising content: "Now scientifically proven to be more durable. Clinically tested by the Institute of Nutrition"./.
