
On the afternoon of June 1, at Baseball Field in Splendora urban area (Hoai Duc, Hanoi ), a baseball match took place between the People's Public Security Club (CAND) and the Dogs & Bulls Club within the framework of the Hanoi Baseball League 2025.

This is a baseball club tournament in Hanoi, consisting of 4 teams competing in a round robin of 22 matches, then the 2 highest ranked teams enter the finals.

Dogs&Bulls is a baseball club of Koreans living in Hanoi, a strong team with 3 foreign players from Cuba and 1 player from Canada, including Yu Jeaho - a former professional player of the Korean professional baseball league KBO (Korea Baseball Organization).

The CAND Baseball Team is under the CAND Sports Association. The team was established 2 years ago on the basis of a number of domestic athletes from the first generation of Hanoi Capitals, operating from 2009-2014.

Hanoi Capitals is a Hanoi youth baseball team that has competed in Pony Little League - the world's leading U12 tournament competing between regions such as Asia Pacific, Europe, America....

In 2023, the members of Hanoi Capitals were reunited at the Hanoi 29ers team. And in May 2024, they joined the CAND Baseball Club and became the core of the team.




Standing out in the domestic group of the CAND Baseball Club is young athlete Dang Dinh Bao, born in 2004. Having been familiar with baseball since the age of 5, after 16 years of training and competing in many domestic and international tournaments, Dinh Bao is expected to be a promising young talent to bring success to Vietnamese baseball at the upcoming SEA Games in Thailand.

Among the foreign players of the CAND Baseball Club is Lucas Benenati - a former American professional athlete - who played in the MLB (Major League Baseball).


In this match, Lucas Benenati had many excellent defensive situations as well as scoring points with his teammates.

American foreign player Kafele Herring in the CAND baseball club is also a former professional athlete.

Kefele played professional football, but also played baseball in the D1 NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) - the highest level of college football in the United States.

Under the intense heat in Hanoi, with temperatures peaking at over 40 degrees Celsius, the players of both teams still played with determination.

CAND Baseball Club is the team that took the lead with a 2 point difference.

The youth of the domestic athletes combined with the experience of two foreign players who were once professional athletes has brought a big advantage to the blue team.



The match was dramatic until the final minutes, in which Korean player Yu Jeaho of Dogs&Bulls hit a solo homerun.

At the end of the match, CAND Baseball Club beat Dogs & Bulls with a score of 4-3, CAND regained the top position from the Korean team.

After this round, the Hanoi Baseball League will take a break so that the clubs can focus on competing in the 2025 National Baseball Club Cup held in Ho Chi Minh City from July 23 to 27. This year is the fourth year the national tournament has been held, with a total of 11 teams from across the country participating. The CAND Baseball Club is the defending champion of the tournament, having won the cup in Da Nang in 2024.
