The match between the Vietnamese and Indonesian men's volleyball teams in the first round of SEA V.League 2025 was dramatic, lasting a thrilling 5th set.

In the first set, although the Vietnamese team started well with a stable first-step ability, they made many individual mistakes afterwards, allowing Indonesia to take the lead thanks to the excellent performance of their opposite number Rivan Nurmulki and lost 18-25.

In set 2, Vietnam continued to be led at the beginning of the set by sharp attackers such as Rivan, Halim and Arnes. However, thanks to their solid blocking ability and taking full advantage of their opponents' mistakes, Coach Tran Dinh Tien's students came back to win by a narrow margin of 25-23.

In set 3, although there were times when the gap was shortened, the Vietnamese team still could not stop Rivan from continuously cutting points and accepted defeat 21-25.

But in set 4, with the brilliance of Cong Duc, Xuan Truong and the duo Ngoc Thuan - Quoc Du, the Vietnamese team won 25-22, bringing the match back to balance.

However, the deciding set 5 saw the Vietnamese boys decline in the first step. Meanwhile, Rivan continued to be a nightmare for the defense, helping Indonesia win 15-8 and close the match with a score of 3-2.
