This is the fourth year the AVC Nations Cup has been held, for national teams in Group 2 of Asian volleyball. In the last two seasons, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has won the championship. The biggest rival of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is considered to be the Kazakhstan team.

The tournament organizers of the host Vietnam said that tickets to Dong Anh District Stadium to watch the tournament were sold at 100,000 VND/ticket, and 150,000 VND/ticket for the final match. Currently, tickets are selling very well, showing that people's interest in the tournament is very high.

Answering Tuoi Tre Online 's question about the preparation process and goals of the Vietnamese women's team, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said: "The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has been training in Quang Ninh for more than a month to prepare for the tournament. The new point is that this year the team has the support of an Australian fitness expert. Therefore, the athletes' physical strength has improved a lot. The goal of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is to defend the championship and win the cup for the third time."

Player Tran Thi Thanh Thuy said she has recovered 100% from her injury and no longer feels pain when playing football. With the help of a fitness expert, she and the team have been well prepared and hope to have enough physical strength to play and contribute.

Vice President of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation Tran Duc Phan shared that depending on the team's performance, the federation will have bonuses to encourage the athletes. The organizing committee is trying its best to make the event as good as possible in the difficult conditions in Vietnam.
