This is the third consecutive time coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have won the gold cup at this tournament, formerly known as the AVC Challenge Cup.
Right from the first shots of set 1, the home team's superior strength was demonstrated. Key attackers such as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Hoang Thi Bich Tuyen continuously broke through the opponent's defense, helping Vietnam take a 3-0 lead. Although the Philippines tried to tie the score at 3-3, the game was still completely in the hands of the girls in red.
Not only did Vietnam attack effectively, their defense also performed excellently. Bich Thuy made accurate blocks, while Khanh Dang and Nguyen Thi Uyen were active, making it difficult for their opponents to score. The Philippines were forced to use both timeouts in set 1, but could not prevent a 15-25 defeat.
In the second set, the away team fought back strongly, leading at times 7-5, 9-7. However, Bich Tuyen's class once again spoke up. Her powerful smashes helped the Vietnamese team turn the situation around and win 25-17.

In set 3, the match was almost one-sided. The Philippines appeared to be out of breath both physically and mentally, while Coach Tuan Kiet's students maintained their excitement and coordinated well. The result of 25-14 helped the Vietnamese women's volleyball team close out the final match perfectly, successfully defending the regional title.
In the final match, Hoang Thi Bich Tuyen was the most outstanding player with 18 points, while captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy contributed 15 points. Other players such as Nguyen Thi Uyen (10 points) and Bich Thuy (9 points) also left a strong impression.
At the end of the tournament, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen was voted MVP (Best All-Around Athlete) of the AVC Nations Cup 2025, along with the title of Best Opposite Setter.
In the Best Striker award, captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was named alongside Angel Canino (Philippines). Meanwhile, Nguyen Khanh Dang was voted Best Libero.
