In recent days, many locals and tourists have been amazed by the beauty of the coastal road in Ninh Hai district with its unique and impressive murals.

Besides beautifying the landscape, the mural has also been recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization (Vietkings) as the "Longest coastal mural in Vietnam with the theme of environmental protection, sea and islands, and Ninh Hai homeland in the construction of new rural areas." This contributes to improving the criteria for green, clean, and beautiful new rural areas and creates a positive effect in mobilizing people to participate in and effectively implement local movements.

To launch a thematic emulation movement on planting and caring for trees, creating model flower-lined roads, painting murals, and environmental sanitation for the period 2021-2025, Ninh Hai district issued a plan to organize the Ninh Hai District Mural Painting Competition. From the first brushstrokes, workers and employees in the district braved the sun and rain, expressing their dedication and love for their homeland. Nearly 100 people from various teams worked for 21 days to create a mural that set a Vietnamese record. On June 19th, the Vietnam Record Organization officially recognized the record for the mural in Ninh Hai district. The mural was painted on the coastal road of Ninh Hai district, about 12 km northeast of Phan Rang - Thap Cham city. This is a well-deserved reward recognizing the determination and creativity of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ninh Hai district in promoting the image of their homeland and people in building new rural areas and developing tourism .

When visiting Ninh Hai, everyone will surely be captivated by the beauty of the 737-meter-long, 1.5-meter-high mural wall painted by the local people and officials. The vibrant and eye-catching images offer visitors a panoramic view of Ninh Hai district. Here, visitors can take souvenir photos while admiring the beauty of famous tourist destinations in the district through the murals, such as: Nui Chua National Park, Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve, Vinh Hy Bay, Thai An vineyard, onion and garlic fields; or even learn about the fishing industry of Vinh Hy fishermen, the salt-making industry of Tri Hai, or spiritual tourist destinations such as Truc Lam Vien Ngo Zen Monastery and Trung Son Ancient Pagoda, all with their exquisite artwork.

Locals participated in painting the mural on the wall.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Khang, from Tri Thuy 2 village, Tri Hai commune (Ninh Hai district), said: "Previously, the old, boring walls were replaced with vibrant and beautiful paintings, making the road green, clean, beautiful, and closer to people's lives. I feel the transformation of the New Rural Area. Moreover, achieving a Vietnamese record makes us very proud and happy. We hope that roads with so many paintings like this will be replicated more often in the locality to further beautify the countryside and make it more widely known."

With skillful hands, officials, teachers, and local people have diligently painted and woven a picture of life, reflecting everyday life as well as the strengths of the locality, from scenic spots to themes related to building new rural areas in the district. Le Van Trong, a militia member from Thanh Hai commune (Ninh Hai district), who participated in painting the coastal mural, shared: "To create a vibrant painting requires meticulousness and precision. The most difficult part is dealing with uneven sections, but because it depicts the landscape and daily activities of the locality such as fishing and kiteboarding, it wasn't too difficult for me. I'm very happy to breathe life into these old walls, creating a new look that attracts the attention of tourists whenever they visit my hometown."

Sharing the same excitement about participating in the mural painting project, Mr. Vo Van Quoc, an art teacher at Vinh Hy Primary School, said: "I participated in painting two murals depicting marine economic activities in the Vinh Hy area where I live. This is the first time I've participated in painting such a long mural, and I'm very happy and proud to have contributed a small part to beautifying my homeland with the length of the mural that holds a Vietnamese record."

The fact that Ninh Hai district has been listed in the Vietnam Book of Records as having the "Longest coastal mural wall with themes of environmental protection, sea and islands, and Ninh Hai homeland in the construction of new rural areas in Vietnam" is not only a source of pride for the local people but also a shared responsibility of the entire Party committee, government, and people to preserve the environmental landscape, promote local cultural and tourism values, and hopefully attract more tourists from inside and outside the province to admire it in the future, contributing to making Ninh Hai district an attractive tourist destination.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, from Do Vinh ward (Phan Rang - Thap Cham city), said: "My friend and I visited tourist attractions in Ninh Hai and were surprised to see such a beautifully painted mural. It vividly and clearly depicts the natural potential and the simple daily life of the local people. Especially, when I learned that this mural holds the record for the longest in Vietnam, I immediately took a picture to share with my friends on social media. I think mural painting is a great idea; it contributes to beautifying the environment and creating a colorful picture along the Ninh Hai coastal road that attracts tourists."

Comrade Tran Minh Thai, Chairman of the Ninh Hai District People's Committee, said: "Thanks to the attention and guidance of the District Party Committee, the active implementation by local authorities, and the active participation of officials, teachers, and people in the district, the Ninh Hai mural road has been completed. It contributes to beautifying the environment, eliminating 'black spots' of waste, and promoting the role of the people as the main actors in the nationwide movement to build new rural areas. In the future, the district will continue to complete the mural and plant flowers along the wall, creating a highlight for tourists and locals to visit. At the same time, we will continue to maintain and ensure environmental hygiene to ensure that this mural remains a beautiful and unique landmark in the locality."

From dilapidated walls now brought to life by mural paintings, the environmental landscape has been significantly improved, thus transforming the appearance of the district's rural areas day by day. This plays an important role in jointly building advanced new rural areas in the district and will be an attractive destination for tourists from within and outside the province in the future.
