Industry and services experienced impressive growth.

In 2025, the province's GRDP growth rate is estimated to reach 10.52%, exceeding the plan and the target assigned by the Government; at the same time, it will maintain the leading position in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, and be among the four localities with the highest growth rate in the country. In the context of difficulties and fluctuations in the world economy, this result clearly demonstrates the province's flexible, proactive and decisive management capacity; at the same time, it affirms the driving role of the important sectors of industry and services.

In 2025, the province's GRDP scale at current prices is estimated to reach 412.4 trillion VND, an increase of 15.56%, equivalent to an additional 55.5 trillion VND compared to 2024; ranking 6th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide. The economic structure continues to shift towards industrialization with the proportion of industry - construction reaching 55.4%, services 32.1%, agriculture decreasing to 12.5%. This is a fundamental shift, in line with the province's orientation for rapid and sustainable development in the new period.

The main driving force of growth comes from the industrial sector, especially the processing and manufacturing sector with the expansion of production by large-scale enterprises and the outstanding contribution of the FDI sector. The Industrial Production Index (IIP) in 2025 will increase by 26.8%, with the fourth quarter alone expected to increase by 27.6%, showing strong resilience and growth.

Electronic components manufacturing contributes positively to growth

Electronic component manufacturing continues to play a key role. In 2025, the output of 34 million laptops and tablets will increase by 74.87%; revenue from electronic component manufacturing services will reach VND314.5 trillion, up 38.46%. Many large enterprises recorded impressive growth such as BYD Company: more than VND122 trillion, up over 40%; Compal Company: more than VND82 trillion, up over 31%; Accton Technology Vietnam: more than VND33 trillion; Arcadyan: more than VND35 trillion, up over 37%.

Besides electronic components, other key manufacturing industries continue to maintain positive growth. In 2025, the province is estimated to produce 40,600 cars with less than 10 seats, reaching 95% compared to 2024; motorbike output is 1.66 million units, reaching 97% compared to the same period in the context of market demand shifting to electric vehicles.

The progress of public investment disbursement - especially in the fourth quarter - has been accelerated, creating an important driving force for the construction sector. Key projects such as Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho Expressway, Capital Ring Road, provincial roads and industrial park and urban area infrastructure have been vigorously implemented, creating a new look for the inter-regional connection system and expanding the space for industrial and service development of the whole province.

After the completion of the administrative unit merger, the actual population is one of the major domestic consumer markets in the North. This is an important foundation for strong growth in trade, logistics, retail, finance, tourism and life services in 2025.

Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at over VND200 trillion, up 14.8%. The modern trade network continues to expand with 368 markets, 9 shopping malls, 29 supermarkets and a widespread system of convenience stores, contributing to stabilizing the market and preventing abnormal price fluctuations.

Tourism continued to be a highlight when the province welcomed 14.5 million visitors, an increase of 11%; revenue reached 14.8 trillion VND. Special cultural festival activities - Hung King's death anniversary, Tay Thien festival, Muong ethnic group's opening festival - continued to be maintained; tourist attractions in the area recorded good growth. Along with the formation and implementation of many tourism projects, new products such as the Cuoi Ha cable car project, Serena Resort... are expected to create strong competitive attraction.

In the social field, Phu Tho has completed a cumulative 4,460 social housing units, exceeding the plan by 115%; 3G and 4G coverage reached 99% of the province, and 170 5G stations were put into operation in urban and tourist centers. Education and health care achieved many positive results; the high school graduation rate reached 99.72%; electronic medical records were deployed in three major hospitals, aiming towards a paperless hospital model.

The results achieved demonstrate the great efforts of all levels, sectors, localities and the business community; at the same time, affirm the clear effectiveness in the proactive, flexible, creative and decisive direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee.

Impressive economic growth in 2025 not only reflects the resilience of industry and services, but also demonstrates the mettle and determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people. Phu Tho is gradually affirming its position as a new growth pole of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, aiming for the goal of rapid, sustainable development, improving the quality of life of the people.
