On the evening of October 3, at White Palace Vo Van Kiet (Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City), 60 beauties from countries and territories entered the Evaluation Round of the Miss Cosmo contest - International Beauty Olympics 2024.
Previously, the Miss Cosmo 2024 Semi-Finals were scheduled to be held at Phu Tho Stadium (District 11). However, during the stage construction process, a stage collapse occurred and the Miss Cosmo Organization replaced the semi-final night with the Jury Session event (Jury evaluation round) taking place on the evening of October 3.
The jury of this round includes: Former Miss Universe President Paula Shugart; Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu; former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, former Ambassador of Vietnam to the United States Pham Quang Vinh; Co-founder, CEO, Chairman of KC Global Media George Chien; Top 5 Miss Universe 2018 - Miss H'Hen Nie; 2nd Runner-up Miss Supranational - Miss Supranational 2022 Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen.
In the Judging Round, 50 beauties performed in 2 competitions: evening gown – name calling, bikini. The beauties showed off their balanced, vibrant bodies as well as professional performance skills. Many faces are strong candidates for the highest position of the contest such as representatives from the Philippines, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, France, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia… and the representative of the host Vietnam received cheers from a large audience.
Also on the evening of October 3, the Organizing Committee announced the official crown of Miss Cosmo 2024 and the first prize for crown design. The Organizing Committee also announced a number of secondary awards.
In 2024, Miss Cosmo, founded by Vietnamese people, will be professionally organized for the first time according to international standards with attractive and exciting activities taking place in Ho Chi Minh City and major tourist cities in Vietnam. After the Evaluation Round, on the evening of October 5, the Miss Cosmo 2024 Final will take place at Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).
