New step in bringing electricity to Con Dao

On December 12, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the Joint Venture of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company - Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 4 (Joint Venture PC1 - PECC4) held a signing ceremony for the contract package HH01-DZCĐ: Design, supply of equipment and construction of submarine cable section (EPC) under the Project of supplying electricity from the national grid to Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

The project to supply electricity from the national grid to Con Dao district (project) has a total investment of nearly 4,924 billion VND, with EVN as the investor; Power Project Management Board 3 (EVNPMB3) is assigned as the investor's representative.

After signing the EPC contract and implementing the construction, it is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, electricity will be supplied to Con Dao district from the national grid. In 2026, the entire project is expected to be completed.

Funding for the project is arranged from the State budget and EVN's counterpart capital.

The EPC package is the main package of the project with the scope of work including design, equipment supply and construction of a 110 kV submarine cable line with a length of about 77.7 km from the sea transition point in Soc Trang to the shore point in Con Dao.

To promote the internal strength of domestic enterprises, this package was organized to select contractors in the form of open domestic bidding. As a result, the contractor with the capacity and experience was selected to win the bid, which was the PC1 - PECC4 Joint Venture.

Will provide 24/7 continuous electricity for Con Dao Duc Long Gia Lai Group has just joined hands with Merica Group Merica Group (Germany) in investing, producing and providing 24/7 continuous electricity and meeting 100% of the electricity demand for Con Dao.
