Ca Mau breaks through with "paperless" Congress

VTV.vn - Ca Mau is opening a new chapter in the local political process with an important political event - the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

From the very first working day (October 16), the technological imprint was clearly shown: instead of using printed documents, delegates accessed information through digital devices and a facial recognition system integrated at the entrance. This is not only an improvement in the organization, but also clearly reflects the determination to modernize the leadership apparatus in the context of national digital transformation.

Prepare thoroughly for the expectation of change

The preparatory session had 450 official delegates, representing more than 82,000 party members across the province. During the working session, important contents were approved such as: agenda, list of Presidium (19 people), Secretariat (3 people), Delegate Qualification Examination Board (7 people), and division of discussion groups.

The technical novelty is the roll call process using facial recognition – ensuring accuracy, speed and safety. Along with that, all documents serving the conference, from political reports to specialized documents, are encrypted and put into the pre-installed application on the device provided by the organizing committee. This solution is both environmentally friendly and helps delegates conveniently look up and update during the working process.

Modern thinking, clear responsibility

The application of digital platforms in this event is a technological solution, at the same time a concrete expression of reform thinking and commitment to improving operational efficiency. The 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee has two major missions: First, to play a role as a model in local political organization by applying the "paperless" model - which can be replicated in other provinces and cities. Second, to contribute to strengthening the public and scientific working mechanism through data management, voting and interaction in a modern way.

In addition to technical factors, the focus is still on strategic orientation. The preliminary report for the 2020-2025 term shows that the province has overcome many challenges, especially the COVID-19 pandemic, and gradually improved the quality of management. The draft political report presented at this conference set out 22 main targets for the next period, identified 6 key tasks and 3 breakthrough directions to comprehensively develop the province.

A significant social highlight of the first session was the launching ceremony of a fundraising campaign to support the people in the North who suffered losses due to storms No. 10 and 11. Mr. Le Thanh Trieu - Standing Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province - called on delegates to contribute according to their ability, promoting the spirit of mutual love. Previously, the province also temporarily provided 4.2 billion VND to provide emergency support to 12 localities affected by natural disasters.
