The whole country has supported the construction and repair of more than 334,000 houses.

(QNgTV) - Currently, the whole country has supported the repair and construction of over 334,000 houses for people with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households and households with housing difficulties under two national target programs.

The Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions said that 34 localities across the country have basically completed the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. To date, the country has supported a total of 334,234 houses for policy beneficiaries and households with housing difficulties.

Of these, 255,310 houses were newly built and 78,924 houses were repaired. Beneficiaries include: people with revolutionary contributions; poor and near-poor households under the two National Target Programs; people in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and other special groups.

To realize this goal, over the past time, the whole country has mobilized 454,318 people to contribute with a total of more than 2.7 million working days. Financial resources have also been strongly mobilized from many channels, including the State budget, contributions from households and socialized sources, with a total budget of up to 24,761,596 billion VND.
