During the MV launch of Men Nuoc Mat on the afternoon of August 16 in Ho Chi Minh City, On Vinh Quang revealed that this is his first official music project after 12 years of singing.

The project is also a thank you to the audience and close colleagues after the life and health changes he has faced recently.

The male singer said he had suffered from sleep apnea. During a tour 3 years ago, his condition suddenly became worse.

Friends quickly took On Vinh Quang to the emergency room. There, the doctor informed him that he only had a few minutes to live because oxygen was not reaching his brain, and he was close to having a stroke.

After active resuscitation intervention, the male singer was lucky to regain consciousness.

"After the incident, I suffered many consequences, including losing hearing in one ear. For the past three years, I have been singing with one ear unable to hear anything.

Many audiences commented that my singing these days seems to be 'over-acting', but I'm just trying to focus as much as possible on the performance," On Vinh Quang told VietNamNet .

The singer has experienced many changes in health and life.

At first, he was shocked and stressed because he thought his musical path was getting narrower. At the most desperate moment, he picked himself up by the notion that there were only two paths to choose from: Fall down, give up or adapt to continue his passion.

On the other hand, the 117kg weight also causes many health problems for On Vinh Quang. He currently has diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, and must take medication every day.

On Vinh Quang used to feel self-conscious about some offensive and critical comments from the audience about his appearance. However, the singer admits that changing his appearance is almost impossible for him at this time.

Besides health issues, he had a traffic accident that resulted in a torn ligament, causing severe muscle damage. With no other choice, On Vinh Quang accepted to be satisfied with his body and focused on eating scientifically .

The male singer publicly came out as gay when competing in Who Will Be a Star in 2017, and was supported by artists and audiences.

Over the past 4 years, On Vinh Quang has felt lucky to have his partner's support, a solid support in both work and life. When the MV was short of funds, his boyfriend used his savings to help the male singer complete the project to help him ease some of the financial burden.

"In four years of making our relationship public, I have gained and lost a lot. A thank you is never enough for me to send to my partner. We are happy to be loved and supported by everyone," he confided.

On Vinh Quang devoted much effort to the product in collaboration with musicians Nguyen Van Chung and Nguyen Hong Thuan.

After the MV Men Nuoc Mat , On Vinh Quang revealed that he will continue filming part 2 for the project. In addition, the male singer collaborated with 2 musicians Nguyen Van Chung and Nguyen Hong Thuan for the latest products.

The singer said he was grateful for the help of his two seniors and hoped his voice would spread to many audiences in the future.

On Vinh Quang was born in 1994, has a powerful voice, wide vocal range, and is loved for his lyrical ballads.

In 2018, the song Looking for Love (Korean music, Vietnamese lyrics: Dinh Trung Chinh) - the soundtrack of the movie Rice and Rice, sung by him, was widely received by the audience. The song won the Most Favorite Song award at the 2018 Mai Vang Awards.
