According to the singer, for a long time, he and his team chose a gentle approach, hoping that all issues would be resolved in good faith, respecting the truth and professional values.
However, given the protracted and unresolved dispute, Phan Dinh Tung's side stated that they were forced to publicly disclose the information in order to protect their legitimate rights and interests related to copyright, related rights, and intellectual property rights concerning their musical products.

Besides "Happy Birthday Song " - a familiar song at birthday parties for audiences - which has garnered billions of views on various platforms, the controversy also involves five albums: Hạt Nhân, Tùng Chung, Tùng Thuận, Tùng Phong, and Tùng Teen.
The singer's side stated that there are currently differences between him and several individuals and organizations regarding the establishment, exploitation, and management of intellectual property rights for the aforementioned works. This has led to disputes over ownership, commercial exploitation rights, and revenue sharing across various international digital music platforms for an extended period.
Notably, Phan Dinh Tung's side revealed that advertising revenue from the music video "Birthday Song" on his official YouTube channel – during the period when the video achieved high viewership – was temporarily recorded for the relevant party by the platform and revenue distribution unit during the dispute.
Following a lengthy process of appeals, legal proceedings, and supplementary documentation, some related intellectual property rights have been restored. However, the case remains unresolved to this day.
The male singer stated that he had repeatedly taken the initiative to communicate and respond via email, demonstrating a willingness to engage in dialogue in order to find a fair, civilized, and legally compliant solution. However, the parties have yet to reach a final agreement on key issues.
According to published information, revenue related to the aforementioned musical works is currently being temporarily held by several platforms and distribution systems, pending a final conclusion from the competent authority or a legally binding ruling before being allocated to the rightful owners.
Phan Dinh Tung's side affirmed their respect for the review and assessment process of the authorities and will continue to cooperate fully in accordance with the law to ensure the case is resolved objectively, transparently, and fairly.
"This is something we absolutely did not want. However, in order to protect fairness, professional honor, and the value of the artistic works that have been created and preserved over the years, we are forced to take the necessary steps in accordance with the law," the singer's side shared.
