Former leaders contributed comments to the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

- On the afternoon of July 9, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a conference to collect opinions from retired leaders on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and the political report to be submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

Comrade Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Document Subcommittee chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were former Provincial Party Secretaries, former Deputy Provincial Party Secretaries, former members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee through different periods; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of provincial departments and branches, and members of the secretariat and assistants of the Document Subcommittee.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department reported on the results of drafting the political report to be submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, up to now, the Editorial Team has completed the 5th draft political report and has sent it to the Central ministries, departments and branches for comments and has published it on Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station to collect comments from the People, intellectuals, and businesses.

The draft includes two main contents, which comprehensively and deeply reflect the achieved results as well as set out the directions and tasks for the new term with targets that are relatively suitable to the reality of the province. The draft also fully and comprehensively updates the viewpoints, goals, policies and major orientations stated in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress as a basis for the entire Party to focus on leadership and direction in the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Phung Thanh Kiem, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the conference.

Comrade Vi Xuan Thanh, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, spoke at the conference.

After studying the documents and listening to the summary report, the former leaders discussed and contributed ideas to the drafts.

Regarding the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, comrades agreed with the contents and spirit of the draft documents.

Comrade Tran Ngát, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, spoke at the conference.

Comrade Doan Ba Nhien, former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.

Regarding the draft political report submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress, delegates highly appreciated the preparation and drafting work and basically agreed that the draft comprehensively and fully reflected the achieved results as well as determined the direction for the next term with relatively appropriate targets.

Lieutenant General Duong Cong Suu, former Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, spoke at the conference.

In order to contribute to supplementing and perfecting the draft, delegates contributed ideas with suggestive and directional contents such as: the general assessment of achieved results and causes of limitations needs to be more concise and coherent; the table of achieved results needs to clearly show the achieved and unachieved contents. The direction, tasks and solutions for the next term need to closely follow the potential strengths, spearheads, build breakthrough solutions for economic development; specify solutions to remove bottlenecks in site clearance and administrative procedure settlement; specify one more step in implementing the 2-level local government model, focusing on training, fostering, promoting and arranging ethnic minority cadres...

Comrade Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Document Subcommittee spoke at the conference.

Concluding the conference, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee respectfully thanked the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of former provincial leaders and former leaders of provincial departments and branches through the periods.

He requested the Editorial Board to fully absorb and assimilate the comments to supplement, edit and complete the draft political report to be submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress.

He also hoped that former leaders would continue to research and contribute valuable ideas for the Editorial Board to absorb, supplement, and perfect, ensuring the construction of a quality political report, contributing to the success of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
