Continuing the series of activities to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2, at Bac Yen commune stadium, many unique cultural and sports activities took place, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate and cheer.
In the ethnic sports competition, nearly 150 athletes from the commune’s villages competed in many events such as crossbow shooting, throwing cones, tug of war, playing tu lu, playing drums blindfolded, and walking on stilts. The matches were exciting, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, endurance, dexterity, and strength of the highland people. The atmosphere was even more exciting with the folk dance exchange, with the participation of 100 extras.
The national costume competition brought impressive performances with colorful costumes, imbued with the identity of the ethnic groups of Bac Yen. The brocade colors and sophisticated patterns honored the traditional beauty and cultural pride of the locality.
In the “Embroidery on Fabric” competition, 15 contestants from the villages demonstrated their dexterity and sophistication through each needle and thread. This was an opportunity for artisans and ethnic women to introduce traditional embroidery techniques, contributing to preserving and teaching unique cultural features to the younger generation.
On the evening of August 30, Bac Yen commune organized a summary and award ceremony for the competitions within the framework of cultural and sports activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
The program included many activities, with hundreds of athletes, artisans, and mass actors participating in traditional sports (crossbow shooting, throwing cones, tug of war, playing tu lu, blindfolded drumming, walking on stilts); folk dance competition; “Embroidery on fabric” competition; ethnic costume performance; and beautiful photo exhibition.
The Organizing Committee awarded 10 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 10 third prizes and 30 consolation prizes to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in each category.
On August 30, the Women's Union of To Hieu Ward organized a folk dance performance with the theme "Women of To Hieu Ward - healthy and beautiful to build the homeland", celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
In the joyful atmosphere, members of the branches brought special singing, dancing and folk dance performances, praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, and love for the homeland and country.
The highlight of the program was the performance of nearly 400 members from 32 branches in red shirts with yellow stars, immersing themselves in the vibrant music of the songs "Hello Ho Chi Minh City", "Beautiful Vietnam", "Unity Dance" at To Hieu Flower Garden.
The graceful, strong and vibrant folk dances depict the spirit of solidarity, while spreading the message of the image of Vietnamese women in the new era, healthy, beautiful, confident, contributing to building a rich cultural life, creating a healthy playground, and arousing excitement in the community.
On August 30, Suoi To Commune People's Committee organized Mong ethnic cultural festival to celebrate the 80th National Day September 2.
The festival was attended by nearly 100 athletes, mass actors from 8 villages and officials, civil servants, and school units in the area. The festival took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere with many exciting activities, such as: Art performances; rice cake pounding contest, stick pushing, pa pao throwing.
At the festival, booths promoting local agricultural products also created highlights, attracting a large number of tourists and locals to visit and experience.
The festival attracted a large number of people to participate and cheer. This is the first activity organized by Suoi To commune, aiming to preserve and promote cultural identity, strengthen community solidarity of the people in the highland villages. At the same time, it creates a healthy, fun and useful playground and educates the younger generation to better understand customs and practices, preserve and promote the unique cultural features of ethnic groups.
On this occasion, the Provincial ODA Project Management Board presented air conditioners; Kim Son Construction Trading Company Limited presented refrigerators and water purifiers to the Commune People's Committee; Honda Thach Hue Company Limited presented 100 gifts (worth 200,000 VND/gift) to poor households in Lung Khoai village.
On August 29 and 30, Binh Thuan commune organized the first Pickleball Club Tournament in 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
The tournament attracted the participation of nearly 50 athletes from 7 clubs, agencies, and units, competing in 2 events: women's doubles and men's doubles, according to the scoring table format.
After 2 days of competition with 33 matches, the athletes contributed many good moves, high techniques, bringing dramatic competitions showing passion for sports and noble competitive spirit.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded trophies and 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes to the winning teams.
