Honoring the "Xip Xi Tet Ritual" of the White Thai people in Quynh Nhai

On the morning of August 30, Quynh Nhai commune held a ceremony to honor the national intangible cultural heritage of social customs and beliefs "Tet Xip Xi Ritual" of the White Thai people in 2025.

Before the ceremony to honor the “Xip Xi Tet Ritual”, the incense offering and offering ceremony was held at Linh Son Thuy Tu Temple and Nang Han Temple. The ceremony is meant to show gratitude to the ancestors who founded the village and the village, and at the same time pray for peace in the homeland, community unity, and favorable weather.

Along with that was a series of exciting and attractive activities imbued with the cultural identity of the Quynh Nhai White Thai people.

The culinary competition involved 23 teams from agencies, units, departments, offices, and schools in the commune. The trays of food were arranged according to the Xip Xi Tet customs, including many traditional dishes such as boiled duck, braised black plum, grilled fish, five-color sticky rice, humped Chung cake, and specialties such as grilled chicken, smoked meat, etc.
