Hanoi currently has more than 100 private high schools. According to the plan approved by the Hanoi People's Committee, in the 2024-2025 school year, private high schools in Hanoi will apply the selection method to enroll students in grade 10.

The new point in this year's admission is that students register online on the school's admission portal. Schools are allowed to admit students in grade 10 who reside in Hanoi, regardless of the admission area.

The school's admissions council develops a plan for admission to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year, based on: Admission scores of candidates participating in the entrance exam to grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year; learning and training results of students at the secondary school level; if a student repeats a grade, the results of the re-study year of that grade will be used; and other regulations of the admissions regulations.

Students can register online for admission to private high schools from April 19. According to regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, students admitted to grade 10 of private high schools in the city must confirm their admission and submit their admission application no later than July 22.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi candidates will take exams in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language to get admission scores to grade 10 of public high schools.

Hanoi divides 12 areas for public 10th grade enrollment. The division of enrollment areas is to ensure the most favorable conditions in terms of administrative boundaries, helping students not to have to travel too far to go to school. Only Chu Van An High School and Son Tay High School are allowed to enroll non-specialized 10th grade students throughout the city (regardless of enrollment area).

The exam will take place on June 8 and 9, 2024.
