Captain Le Huy Vinh shared: “From the practical experience of training new recruits, the explosives used by the unit did not meet the requirements of detonating real explosives. The ability to symbolically simulate the process was low, resulting in trainees lacking visual experience of the training content. I proposed an initiative to help soldiers experience detonating real explosives, contributing to improving the quality of training.”

Captain Le Huy Vinh instructs soldiers on how to use training explosives.

The training explosive models currently in use are made of wood and filled with materials such as earth and concrete to meet weight standards. They only fulfill the basic symbolic and action requirements; they lack the sound of an explosion, produce no smoke, and cannot vividly represent the situation. With the requirement of not altering the original structure of the explosive, but only changing its operating principle to ensure superior performance, the "Training Block Explosive" initiative focuses on solving this problem.

To ensure the product met technical and tactical requirements, Captain Le Huy Vinh conducted numerous tests to perfectly match the timing of the explosion and the smoke-generating agent. The "Training Explosive Block" was made from readily available materials using a simple method, allowing for self-production within the unit. Its dimensions were similar to the training explosive blocks produced by the military training sector in 2024, and it was equipped with a speaker to simulate the sound of an explosion. The operating principle was also very simple: upon ignition, after 7 seconds (this time can be adjusted according to the mission), the explosive block would emit light, an explosion, and thick white smoke. Applying this innovation, soldiers were trained as if using real explosives. The "Training Explosive Block" also boasts high mobility, usability in all terrains and at any time, easy operation, and low cost.
