This 2001 Jeep Cherokee caused a stir in the classic car community when it was put up for sale in Long An in early 2025 with just over 1,000 miles, equivalent to about 1,600 km. A rare number for an SUV that has been around for more than 20 years.

Recently, the car reappeared in Ho Chi Minh City in a showroom specializing in unique cars. Although there has been no official confirmation, the appearance of the UN lettering on the body of the car, a characteristic of many of Mr. Vu's off-road models, has made car enthusiasts almost certain that this Cherokee model has joined the Trung Nguyen Legend collection.

The exterior of the car still retains its shine, the trim and headlights show no signs of deterioration. Inside the cabin, the leather seats, steering wheel, dashboard and buttons are almost original, with no signs of wear. The entire interior shows that the car has been kept in ideal condition and has hardly been used.

The 2001 Jeep Cherokee is a KJ generation vehicle, using the traditional body-on-frame chassis and four-wheel drive, which was a prominent strength of American cars at that time. Although it is no longer suitable for today's popular tastes, for enthusiasts of the classic off-road style, this is an iconic model.

In Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s car collection, besides a series of supercars and luxury cars, off-road SUVs from the US such as Jeep always occupy a special place. Many of these models have appeared in cross-Vietnam journeys, bearing the clear personal mark of the head of Trung Nguyen.

The 2001 Cherokee will likely soon be transferred to a new license plate and used in the next media activities or journey of the Trung Nguyen coffee brand. With extremely low mileage and almost new condition, this is one of the only models of this generation left in Vietnam.
